General terms and conditions

The renter receives the vehicle in full working order and agrees to keep it in that condition and to drive it in compliance with traffic regulations at all times.

It is expressly forbidden to: break any traffic rule or speed-limit sign; let the vehicle be driven by anyone not authorised by the rental company; drive on forest tracks, beaches or unpaved areas; drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that impairs physical or mental capacity (in which case the renter bears the full cost of repairing the vehicle); keep the vehicle longer than agreed in the contract; carry more people than authorised on the vehicle's registration document; or use the vehicle in sports competitions, to tow other vehicles, or to give driving lessons.

Breaching any of these points automatically voids the insurance cover and the personal-accident cover, and entitles the company to terminate the contract without notice and repossess the vehicle at any time and place, with no refund of the deductible or of days already paid.

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed place and time, with the fuel tank at the same level as at pick-up; late returns are charged at the daily rate. Failing to return the vehicle after the contract has expired may constitute misappropriation.

If the vehicle is returned damaged and the renter does not submit a properly completed accident report proving they were not at fault, the full deductible will be charged; under full-risk cover, the deposit may also be forfeited in the cases described in point 5.1.

Vehicles are delivered in perfect condition. If the renter replaces parts on their own account without the company's authorisation, the company is not obliged to reimburse the cost.

The renter must inform the company before taking the vehicle outside Catalonia and take out the corresponding territorial insurance. Driving outside Catalonia without notice voids the insurance, and the renter becomes liable for the full cost of any damage.

The policy covers the renter and any authorised drivers for civil liability, bail and unlimited legal defence; the accident/collision supplement covers damage to the vehicle and its occupants. Loss or theft of items carried in the vehicle is expressly excluded from cover.

Full-risk cover does not include: a lost key, refuelling with the wrong fuel, damage to tyres, wheels or hubcaps, or the situations described in points B and C of clause 1 (unauthorised driver or driving on unpaved areas).

In the event of an accident, the renter must: not move the vehicle from the scene until the relevant authority has drawn up a report (unless it creates a traffic hazard); notify the company immediately; not reach any agreement with the other party about the accident; and not abandon the damaged vehicle without first taking reasonable steps to prevent theft. Breaching any of these points voids the full-risk cover. The deductible stated in the contract is payable by the renter.

A renter who drives under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication, or whose faculties are otherwise impaired, or who drives improperly, bears full responsibility for any damage or loss caused to the vehicle and to third parties.

The renter has no right to a replacement vehicle if it is rendered unusable by a deliberate accident, nor to a refund of any amount on that account.

Fuel is at the renter's expense. If a breakdown is caused by refuelling with the wrong fuel type, the repair is also at the renter's expense.

Any dispute arising from the performance of this contract is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.

If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period, the renter is responsible for its amount, plus a €25.00 handling fee.
